After MUCH work by QModeling, and anticipation by the public. QModeling has created a 1.65:1 BT-60 replica (making it over 70" tall) of the Estes^TM Andromeda that is fully legal to fly. The original Andromeda roamed the galaxy in the 1970's and now a new generation of space travelers can make the ANDROMEDA™ their own interstellar voyager.

This kit is definitely Mega incorporating over 50 different parts and over 80 parts in all. Even the assembly manual is Mega sporting 29 pages of detailed illustrated assembly steps. The kit includes a set of QModeling’s world renowned engineered assembly jigs to help build the ANDROMEDA. These jigs help with various aspects of construction from fin attachment to locating various detail features like Hatches and Radiator plates.

This kit uses E or F size (24mm) rocket motors for impressively powerful launches. QModeling's ANDROMEDA comes with up-scale version of all the classic features:

Like the other RMS kits, QModeling has broken the deployment barrier by offering a wad-less high performance Recovery System based on a partnership with Top Flight Recovery. It consists of a 30” Octagon, Thin Mil, Ripstop Nylon Parachute with sewn in 24” Nylon shroud lines, Nomex 9” x 9” Heat Shield Parachute Protector, 9’ Kevlar Shock Cord, and a Snap Swivel. Now there is no need to search out any after market recovery system components, because QModeling builds top quality into all aspects of their kits.

Another unique feature is that the builder has the choice of three different Recovery System Build options that are detailed in the extensive manual.
