Based on the classic Estes Starship Vega/Super Vega Model Rocket Kit

The VEGA™ is one of QModeling's top quality sports class model rocket kits. The VEGA is a large scale recreation of the legendary Estes Starship Vega. The original Starship Vega graced the skies in the 1970's, and since then model rocket enthusiasts have continued to drive the aura of the Vega with larger versions.

QModeling takes this trend to new heights by creating a MEGA version of this classic that enables the use of both D and E size (24mm) rocket motors for spectacular launches. The VEGA is a 1.68:1 MEGA scale of the original Vega making it over 33.5 inches tall. Combined with QModeling's high quality laser cut parts and renowned easy step-by-step instructions your own VEGA could be streaking across the sky in no time.

QModeling's VEGA is not an Estes Super Vega kit. The Super Vega offered by Estes was not a scaled replica of the original Starship Vega (for example the Super Vega did not have a scaled main nose cone or landing pod cones). QModeling has painstakingly created a detailed true scale version the original Estes KC-4 Citation series kit (from 1972 to 1974), and now you have the chance to own this timeless bird.

Based on customer feedback, QModeling has broken the deployment barrier by eliminating the crinkling sound of Mylar and the need for wadding lookouts! With the help of Top Flight Recovery, QModeling has created a new high quality recovery system for all their kits. It consists of a 24” Octagon, Thin Mil, Ripstop Nylon Parachute with sewn in 24” Nylon shroud lines, Nomex 6” x 6” Heat Shield Parachute Protector, 9’ Kevlar Shock Cord, and a Snap Swivel. Now there is no need to search out any after market recovery system components, because QModeling builds top quality into all aspects of their kits.
