XP-RAPTOR
A Lean Mean Flying Machine

The XP-RAPTOR is the first in a new family of original rocket kit
designs offered by QModeling. Building on the success of Retro
MEGA Series, QModeling has established a new line of original
top quality sports class model rocket kits titled the XP Series.
The XP-RAPTOR was designed to leverage QModeling unique manufacturing
processes to produce a sleek and unique original kit. Resembling a
Nike-Ajax the XP-RAPTOR is a based on a BT-60 size main body tube
tapering to a BT-55 parachute compartment. The XP-RAPTOR is over 37
inches tall. Its slender profile and light construction weight of
approximately 5.0 ounces produces spectacular high flights.
QModeling's XP-RAPTOR like all QModeling kits is designed around 24mm
rocket motors. The RAPTOR can fly on a wide range of 24mm engines from a
C11-3 to a F21-8W, as well as Reloadables. Combined with QModeling's
high quality laser cut parts and renowned easy step-by-step instructions
your own XP-RAPTOR will be going space bound in no time.
QModeling continues to break the deployment barrier in the XP Series by
eliminating the crinkling sound of Mylar and the need for wadding
lookouts! With the help of Top Flight Recovery, QModeling has created a
new high quality recovery system for all their XP Series kits. The
XP-RAPTOR comes with an 18 Octagon, Thin Mil, Ripstop Nylon Parachute
with sewn in 24 Nylon shroud lines, Nomex 5 x 5 Heat Shield Parachute
Protector, 9 Kevlar Shock Cord, and a Snap Swivel.
Coming up with innovated solutions to common problems is a goal of
QModeling. Their new Shock Cord Bumper designed to help eliminate
"Zippering" of body tubes from the shock cord during recovery ejection
is a great example. The soft rubber Shock Cord Bumper is another sign of
QModeling's commitment to quality, listening to customers, and overall
goal of offering the best sports class model rockets on the market.
