A Brief Overview of How We Build Quality Model Rocket Kits

The team at QModeling has been involved in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of high technology products for many years. We have taken this knowledge and "Scaled it Down" for our model rocket kit products.

The following shows some of the steps involved in the design and build of the Model: VEGA model rocket kit. We hope that it will help you to determine that QModeling  is doing all that we can to supply our customers with the coolest and highest quality model rocket kits available today.

	We start by designing all of our kits using State-of-the-Art solid modeling software. We use SolidWorksTM to ensure that all parts fit correctly and that the model is mechanically sound.
	All wooden and other flat parts are cut using our computer driven industrial laser.
	Files are created and stored on the laser's computer so that we can easily and accurately reproduce any part.
	Here is the laser cutting some model rocket parts out of a sheet of Balsa.
	Coming up with a repeatable and fast nose cone molding process has been a challenge.  We are now on our 3rd generation process. With this process we now can consistently, and quickly, create quality model rocket nose cones.
	We hand finish all our nose cones to ensure a consistent fit.
	Tube cutting is another "Art". Getting the tubes to cut cleanly and accurately seems simple in theory, but it is difficult to do in practice. Combine this with producing precisely cut tubes in volume and you need to think a little differently. This is our 2nd generation tube cutter.
	Finally, we combine all the parts and pieces into the final packaging. All model rocket kits go through a double inspection process to ensure that nothing is missing. We have all been frustrated by purchasing some product that had missing parts.. We NEVER want that to happen at QModeling!
From here the product gets shipped to our customers, and they have the ability to enjoy a quality model rocket kit!
